1. Brief
Task: get traffic from Google
Difficulty: 4/5
Since I have extensive knowledge of SEO and experience in white-hat and black-hat techniques, sometimes I am getting SEO projects for our customers. Most of the time they want something basic that includes technical optimization, internal link building (a bit of external when I need it), keyword research, or content marketing.
This time I had some spare time and decided to get more traffic for the company I am working for at the moment.
N.B. my personal portfolio is not optimized for search engines and most likely I will never do it since I have no need for it.
2. Keywords
Just to flex I went for something that most marketing companies want to have in the top-10 Google. So I did put “digital markedsføring” keyword in top-4 for the region Norway 🙂
I started with keyword research in SEMrush, got the core of keywords, wrote an optimized article, and did internal link building. Plus a tiny bit of free links from profiles and blog platforms.
I did write the article in English though and just put the keywords in Norwegian where I needed them. The translation was made by my colleague since I am not a native speaker, that’s why the ownership of the article is shared.
I did more content marketing for the site and I had 2 more pillar articles with proper research and keyword optimization, made. And I did achieve the results I was hoping for.
3. Results
The article I am referring to can be found on https://zocial.no/2022/01/27/digital-markedsforing/. The change of the traffic after I got top in Google can be seen on the screenshot below. The best part, this traffic is completely free 🙂
